Bermuda Triangle and the myths and legends that surround it

Bermuda triangle...
Bermuda Triangle or better known as the devils triangle is a strange triangular area on the Atlantic ocean where many ships sailing through it or planes flying over it have apparently disappeared without a trace. In few of such cases where wrecks could be found, the crew had vanished. And such incidents have been happening since centuries long ago. More than 1,000 ships and planes have disappeared in the triangle area over the past five centuries.
This is all happened when there was no technical issues, no human error or equivalent failure. Strange it gives you a feeling maybe something is out there that people don't know about.
The devils triangle is one of the most famous infamous places on earth. The mystery of the Bermuda triangle has caught thousands of people imaginations.  Records have been found dating back to 1851 and as we know of the Bermuda triangle has taken over 8,127 lives and that's the ones that people have recorded. Although this amount of people have had herpes lives taken away from them when people went and searched the wreckages of vesseles there was no bodies or skeletons of the crew left on them. They were gone without a trace abs they've never been found since the day they went missing...creepy.
With eerie accounts of strange lights in the sky, dating back to Christopher Columbus himself, we can see why the triangle is renowned for being more than a little unnerving for all who attempt to cross it.
There are many theories about what goes on in the devils triangle one of these is that it's to do with extraterrestrial presence people believe there is an alien underwater base.
Another theory people believe is that Atlantis lies beneath the devils triangle and holds secret powers of its own.
However there is another theory by renowned scientist Stephen Hawking's is that there may be vortices here which could act as gateways to different dimensions. Maybe this a way for spirits to move between each dimension.
Another theory believed by many is that the triangle is where the devil walks the earth hence why it's called the devils triangle.
Bruce Gernon's experience :
People have experienced electronic fog in the triangle, which can be a Time Travel Tunnel too. Pilot Bruce Gernon claims he lost 28 minutes after flying through a time-warping cloud tunnel. The plane went missing from radars, only to re-emerge in Miami Beach. (Source: The Fog by Bruce Gernon.)
However there some rational explanations for why things happen there:
Bermuda Triangle is one of the rare places on earth where the compass does not point towards Magnetic North. Instead of that, it point towards true north, which creates confusion and that's why so many ships and planes lost its way.
whenever any plane or ship disappears in the Triangle, its debris cannot be found. The reason behind this is that Gulf Stream runs near the triangle, which quickly gets rid of the debris.
Here are some of the ships and planes that have gone down in the Bermuda triangle:
 Flight 19, 1945
Flight 19 was the title given to five TBM Avenger Torpedo Bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle, December 5, 1945 during a training flight. All of the brave 14 men who were on the flight disappeared without a trace. Later during the search, a
Martin Mariner Flying Boat also disappeared over the water and was never found with 13 men on board. Flight 19 is one of the most well-known Bermuda Triangle incidents and is the focus of the science fiction thriller movie close encounterswhich show the men being taken to mars after an alien abduction. In the movie the pilots are returned to Earth by their peaceful captors.
Ellen Austin 1981
Ellen Austin was a big American ship that usually transported goods between New York and London. On one of there normal trips they see a another ship heading towards the devils triangle with no crew on it.  The next day they put some of the crew onto the ship to salvage anything left on it worth anything.  The crew attempted to sail it alongside the Ellen Austin to London, but the plans changed when two days later they got separated during a storm and, after a search coming up empty, continued to London. On another trip the Ellen Austin came across the other ship once again and sent crew to salvage it, once again no one was on board and it disappeared days later.
A ghost ship maybe? Creepy....
The USS Cyclops, 1918
This ship was a massive carrier  of fuel for the American fleet during WW1. The ship had 309 people on board and was carrying heavy cargo.  the ship was last heard of in Barbados after loading of its cargo and making its last stretch to Baltimore. It never arrived so a huge search party was sent out however to cover the whole route the Cyclops would have covered fearing the German had bombed the ship and left it's wreckage in the water but no trace was found and nothing was ever found. However in 1941 two of the Cyclops's sisters Dissapered on the same route to never be seen again too.
Well there are so many mysteries surrounding the devils triangle so so many that it would take several lifetimes before we could explain everything that went on there....
Thanks for reading have a good day!

Bloody Mary the urban legend

Bloody Mary

Now, this is one of the urban legends that creeps me out the most. When I was a kid in junior school, the other kids would go into the bathroom and turn off the lights supposedly this would be how you would summon Mary, you would then chant her name three or more times in front of a mirror and she would appear. Now whenever I would go in after the kids once they had done the ritual I would always feel like there was something either watching me or was there. Like The kids had disturbed a restless spirit. Now I've always believed in ghosts and I've never really was paranoid untill I heard about this story and what she would do to you if you did chant her name.
She was known for:
-ripping out eyes and scarring your face
- being found dead with claw marks over your body.
-going insane or drop dead on the spot
- lastly, mysteriously disappearing and being dragged into the mirror for all eternity.

Now I don't know if any of these are true but who knows.
The history of the chanting game is based on mixed up legends and history, which has made it the main basis of this urban legend. (I will talk more about the chanting games in another post)
The most well known story that is told by people around the world is that Mary was a witch and came to her untimely death over a 100 years ago because she was found out for being part of the black arts.
However the name Mary Worth has come up a few times over the years and people believe that this name may have been from a women who again was a witch and was executed during the Salem witch trials.
Than again there is a more modern story which is a women was in a bad car accident and before she died people saw she was covered in scars.

Mary Worth
People believe that Mary Worth was a witch from the civil war era (1863–1877) who lived in Chicago. People believed she used to kidnapp runaway slaves and chain them up in her basement.  she would than use them in her diabolical black magic rituals. People believe that the locals took it into there own hands and turned what she did to them onto her and burned her at the stake for witchcraft. Supposedly she was burnt at the stake in St Patricks cemetery.

Mary Tudor
It's commonly known by people that the names Mary Worth and Bloody Mary are a mix of names/characters from history. Mary I queen of England or Mary Tudor reined during the Tudor period (1445-1603) and was also named Bloody Mary.
Bloody Mary was Catholic she was given her name after she ordered countless executions to the protestants of England, she was also well known for sending numerous women/people to the stake to be burnt for Hersey during her 5 year rein. She is also well known for not being able to have children which is why while people chant her name she is commonly known for saying when being seen in the mirror that she will say "I stole your baby" sometimes more then once but again this has just been tangled up in the legend and there is no way to prove this.
There are many story's and names that may be linked to where the origin of  this urban legend came from some of the names include:

Mary whales
A young women who got ran over by a truck and killed while she was stood on a street corner waiting to cross the road. People believe for her to appear you chant "I believe in you, Mary whales"

Mary Worthington
People believe Mary Worthington was young girl from the 1960s who was very vain and lived to look at herself in the mirror because she knew she was beautiful however she went out one day and was involved in a terrible car accident which mangled and scarred her face. People couldn't stand to look at her as they believed she was cursed one day while looking in the mirror she decided she couldn't stand it anymore and committed suicide.

Elizabeth Bathory

Another legend that has some how become part of this urban legend/folklore it is believed my many a women named Elizabeth Bathory she lived in Slovakia 1560-1614 she wa also commonly know as the Countess of cloud and countess Dracula. She is known for torturing young girls so she could bathe in there blood. She believed by bathing in young girls blood it would preserve her beauty. She is known to have killed 600 or more victims. He torturing equipment and methods include using hot red pokers, ice cold water, drowning, an iron maiden, pins and all different types of sharp blades. However her crimes were eventually exposed this happened one day when one of the kings men smelled a horrible odour coming from Elizabeth's room, he went into find the decomposing body's of the dead girls she had tortured for her own gain. She was taken to her castle in Slovakia and walled in until she died of starvation and dehydration. Although her name isn't Mary it's one of the cruellest legends that has managed to entwined itself into the bloody Mary folklore.

Mary weatherby
Mary weatherby was a women who got stabbed by her husband, before she died she was able to write in her own name part of the murderer name. However one suspect was questioned but the charges were dropped as there was not enough evidence to prosecute this person.

Mary Johnson
Mary Johnson was believed to be a witch and was exicuted during the Salem witch trials. To summon her you are supposed to sit in a circle with a group of people and chant her name and what will happen would be a light would appear above one of the groups members heads.

Mary Lou
Mary lou was believed to be a young girl who went to senior prom in USA around the 1950s she was crowned prom queen and after this someone decided to play a trick with firecrackers and her dress was caught on fire she died from being burnt alive. It's is believed by many the reason why so many children enjoy doing the chants as it was a young women who died.

There are many urban legends which also could link to the origin of bloody Mary here are some of them:

Hell Mary
Hell Mary was an urban legend which started centuries ago. People believed that when you turn off the lights and chant her name three times blood would drip down from the mirror and show Satan's face.

Savarta Madam
Savanta is a Swedish legend based on the same thing, stand in Front of the mirror with the lights off and chant "I don't believe you exist Savarta madam" it is believed when she appears she's has been seen with black skin, yellow eyes,  green hair and red teeth almost like a demon.
Queen of spades. (Damia Pika)
The queen of spades is the Russian version of bloody Mary.

Veronica
The Spanish version of bloody Mary.

kuchisake-onna
The Japanese version of bloody Mary, she has been seen with long black hair, green eyes, pure white teeth and a big slit mouth (sounds almost similar to Jane/Jeff the killer doesn't it, another tale I will tell on another blog post)

Candy man

The candy man was also supposedly inspired by Bloody Mary.

I hope you've enjoyed reading this post, however if you decide to try any of these urban legends/chant games out. I want nothing to do with it! Aha until the next one have a good Sunday everyone.

Slenderman and the urban legends that surround him

The slender man is not only known by this name and people believe that in many countries he is part of many urban legends, here are some of the other names he is known as Fear Dubh (or, The Dark Man) in Scotland, the Dutch Takkenmann (Branch Man), and the German legend of Der Großmann or Der Grosse Mann (the Tall Man).
As we know  slender man can control victims however what we do not know is whether he can take them back to another dimension or some place else. We don't even know whether he kills or absorbs his victims either. This is because he never leaves bodies or evidence behind so we cannot come to any sort of conclusion.
Many people believe that when slender man takes his victims. Or as eye witnesses have seen him that each time his identity/his face looks different depending on the person. However mainly his face is wrapped into a gauze and people believe some when maybe he was in some kind of accident which made his face disfigured or distorted.  the legend is mainly based on how the slender man controls young children and young teens. However it is rumoured that the children he takes hostage/kidnapped he kills or slaughters them but again there is no evidence to prove this so we don't know whether his main object is to come to earth and slaughter children for his own gain.

Slender man
As we know of slender man is a fictional supernatural character which was created by a guy named Eric Knudsen in 2009 for the something awful forums.
However the urban legend that surrounds this tall no faced man, that hangs around young children. Can be quite confusing as some people believe he has been around for centuries the slender man is believed to be from another dimension, such as the fifth dimension or in some cases maybe even a parallel universe. people say when they have seen this man that his hands and arms  are usually crossed or down by there side in a polite manner, so in some cases it's hard to believe the urban legend that surrounds this man. However at this point in time there isn't any evidence to support the urban legend or to support where he comes from other then the countless eye witnesses and experiences people have had.
Appearance...
Slender man his appearance he is known around the world for wearing a black vintage suit with a red or black tie, his face has no features not even eyes that are visible. He is well known for having more the two arms and usually there spirally and thin and spring from his back. Once his spiralled arms have come into contact with a human being it is believed his victims are put under a hypnotic state. which means he can control his victims to do anything he tells them to (supposedly).
The slender man legend
Behaviour...
Slender man has mainly been Seen in diserted forests where not many people go, it is also been reported that slender man is usually seen with big groups of children as many of the photos that have been taken portray. It seems to be he doesn't mind his identity being put at risk we know this as he doesn't mind photos of him being taken rain or shine. It's been reported that slender man enjoys stalking victims who start to get extremely aware of his presence or become over paranoid about him which tells us maybe he enjoys the thrills of psychologically torturing his victims.
As eye witnesses have reported when seeing slender man he doesn't walk he glides along above the ground. This suggest that more than likely he is an ethereal being (Ethereal being a being made up of a mystical substance called Ether, Angels bodies are also known to be made up of this substance too) this substance could also explain how mobile slender man is even though his body is out of proportion compared to a normal spirit or human being.
Ever since Eric brought out this new creepy pasta in 2009 many people have come forward and reported countless eye witnesses of slender man and usually they see him peering through windows or places which are known for a lot of children such as parks.
However again there is no evidence to support this.
Due to people believing slender man has been around for centuries people have researched more in depth into where he may have been seen and one of the earliest someone has evidence of  slender man was in Egyptian hieroglyphics carved into rock.  This multi-armed creature is known as the Thief of the Gods. There are many more paintings and carvings that show soothing similar to what the slender man is.
I hope you enjoy reading this article if you want me in the future to add anything else or to do a more indepth blog let me know!
Enjoy.

Ghost Adventures

Now there are many paronaormal investigation shows out there but one of the best I've watched is Ghost Adventures.
Ghost Adventures is one of the shows that inspired me to write a blog and get more involved with the paranormal. The Ghost Adventures crew have worked really hard to build up there credibility to prove their work is not fake.
This show began in 2007 and was first aired on the travel channel after Zac and the team went to Bobby Mackey's Music World to investigate the owners bad and good experiences. The Ghost Adventures members include Zac Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wesley, Nick Groff (up untill season 12) and Billy Tolley. However the do bring in some other investigators and paranormal proffesionals such as Billy Chapel (created some of the equipment they use in the investigations) husband and wife Debra and Mark constentino. Although they ask people to come and investigate while they are on camera sometimes, they don't do it very often as the team prefer to keep there investigations locked down and secure to get the best evidence.
As your notice at the very start of ghost adventures you can see that most of there time was spent investigating the place they have been invited too, however as the season progress to now 2016 the actual investigations they do on camera are shortened and there time is spend more on the investigation of the people and the place they were invited to. It's great for them to spend the time looking more into the history of the place however I think there shows should be at least an hour a week or slightly more as 45minutes is to short for this amazing show. I can't wait for the next special show which usually is longer than an 45 minutes!

If your a big lover of paranormal shows this is defiantly one for you!
Enjoy
